The leaders of St. James UMC proactively minister to the members' needs with humility and embrace them in a Christ-like, friendly and helpful manner. Leaders and members live by the stewardship principles of giving of their time, talents and tithes. Meditation, worship and fellowship with God by studying His Word are an integral part of the role of all St. James members.

This theme manifests itself in the encouragement of its members, as well as non-members, to fellowship with one another, to embrace sound doctrines and to share resources. Above all else, the membership works together and is open-minded to all without judgment.
