Rev. Kathy Williams

Pastor Kathy Williams is a native Kansan; born and raised in Wichita Kansas. Her home church during her former years was Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Wichita.   She previously worked as a School Psychologist for the Emporia School district for nearly 20 years, served as Pastoral Assistant for Grace United Methodist Church in Emporia, Ks from 2005-2011, and was appointed as a Local Pastor to Asbury Mt. Olive in June 2011.   

Pastor Williams received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Kansas State University, Master of Science Degree in School Psychology from Emporia State University,  and Specialist in Education Degree in the area of School Psychology from Emporia State University. She recently graduated in May, 2012 from Saint Paul School of Theology, Kansas City, Missouri with a Master of Divinity Degree. 


Pastor Williams is currently pursing ordination as elder through the United Methodist Church and will be commissioned for provisional membership on June 1, 2013.  Pastor Williams serves on the executive boards of Topeka JUMP (Justice and Unity Ministry Project), and of the Topeka Branch of the NAACP.  She also serves on Kansas East Conference Commission on Diversity and Advocacy, and the  Kansas East Conference Ethnic Local Church Concerns Committee.

Pastor Williams is the proud wife of Earl L. Williams, and they have two children; Christopher 20, and Alexandria 16. Pastor Williams believes through God’s abundant grace and Holy love, we are all “fearfully and wonderfully made,” and we must always be the change that we wish to see in the world.
