	Music Ministry The purpose of the Ministry of Music is to provide music for church. We are choir ministers called, committed, and dedicated in ministering to the people of God in song. Excepting the direction of God and giving Him the ultimate sacrifice of praise during the worship experience.It is our prayer to inspire the church for the spoken word from our Pastor.	Worship Committee The Worship Committee coordinates, under the direction of the pastoral staff, the worship services at St. James. The committee oversees the Acolyte Ministry and works closely with organizations involved in worship services -- such as the Altar Guild Ushers, Sanctuary Choir, and Praise Propulsion -- to ensure that worship services are spiritual and inviting experiences.

	Founder's Day/Special Ministries Gathering and reporting church history, past/present; Special presentation on Founders Day; Special request for Founders Day Dues	Lay Speaking Ministry A Lay Speaker (local or certified) is a member of the local church and is ready and willing to serve the Church and who is well informed on and committed to the Scriptures and the doctrine, the heritage, the organization, and the life of The United Methodist Church.

Authentic Faith Development
	Health Ministry The mission of St. James United Methodist Church Health Ministry Program is to empower its members by promoting awareness while using a wholistic approach to mind, body and spirit. The ministry will enhance the quality of health through education, prevention and spiritual enrichment activities/programs on an on-going basis.	Membership Committee The purpose of the membership Committee is to facilitate and help provide information and guidance to new members and disciples, to become fully committed, faithful and active members of the St. James United Methodist Church.

	Church School The Church School is the transformative journey for equipping and preparing persons of all ages to meet the daily challenges of living Godâ€™s promises; knowing and experiencing God through Jesus Christ; growing and serving as Christian disciples; and offering Christ beyond the walls of the church	Progressive Adult Ministry

United Methodist Women United Methodist Women is an integral part of The United Methodist Church.Â â€œIn every local church there shall be an organized unit of United Methodist Womenâ€�Â (The Book of Discipline, 2004, ¶256.5).Â Membership is open to any woman who indicates her desire to belong and to participate in the global mission of the Church through United Methodist Women.Â Members are involved through prayer, giving, attending meetings, study, action, or service.
