| Description |
- The Stewards of St. James UMC assists and serve as connections between the Pastors and the Congregation to assist in Connecting People With God in many practical ways. Stewards follow the leadership of Pastors. Stewards are pastor prayer supports.
- Stewards serve the St. James UMC community through Pre-worship Celebrations (Devotions), Worship, Sheparding, Discipleship, Invitation To Discipleship, and Intercessory Prayer.
- Stewards are assigned families to assist in the care of members and their spiritual growth, and in a prayer ministry (Prayer Partners) which is constantly available for prayer and prayer requests.
- Stewards assist the Alter Guild with Communion as needed, participate in and are officers in other ministries and are leaders of Discipleship Classes, Bible Studies and Prayer Groups.
- Stewards make hospital visits and minister through personal contacts, phone calls, letters, cards, and many other ways.
- Stewards are to be available to their flocks when they encounter crises or develop special needs in cases of hospital stays, sicknesses, loss of loved ones, and other family issues including celebrations such as Weddings, Baptisms, Graduations, Births and etc.
- Stewards are to maintain their own spiritual health, growth and renewals.
