Presidents Message

Greetings,

Chartered after St. James’ forbearer’s humble beginnings in 1956, the United Methodist Men have been committed to a faith that retraces its roots thousands of years ago. Placing collective ministerial and social advancement above all else, this organization exists to uplift our communities through devout faith, dedicated programs, a fervent fellowship, and a bustling body of men. With St. James recognized as one of the largest Methodist churches in the region, any call to service rings several decibels louder to the UMM. The ever-changing climate poses constant challenges in the world, but in spite of all the obstacles, God’s work awaits. Solid programs are in place to help advance the missions of St. James UMC and open lanes that will allow the church to “connect people with God in practical ways.” The UMM exists not only to “construct and hand down a spiritual legacy as fathers, sons, and brothers,” as our mission prefaces; but to also champion the agendas of the many St. James ministries by committing support, manpower, and resources into those endeavors. We have in-turn enjoyed St. James’ support to our agenda, for which we are very appreciative. If you are a man who shares our supernatural devotion to service, then we cheerfully invite you to join us as we worship, mine the Word for wisdom during our Sunday School hour, conduct business at monthly breakfast meetings, fellowship at sports outings, support the ascendant class of youth leaders, and plug the column of outlets our church and community use to fulfill God’s message on Earth.
